Mike Hawkins
Captain Mike has been a licensed USCG skipper for over 35 years. He holds a 100-ton Masters license with towing and sailing endorsements, is a certified ASA sailing instructor, and is CPR certified. Mike has logged thousands of miles offshore across the Caribbean, Mexico, the Pacific, and Atlantic oceans.

Poe is your personal concierge from the first booking call to the end of your charter. With many years in the charter and hospitality industry, she created Southern Wonder as a flagship luxury charter experience in Charleston. Poe can help arrange catered events, charcuterie boards, and local recommendations.

Austin Minton
Austin is native to Charleston, SC and has explored the local waterways his entire life. He has a true passion for life at sea and is working toward his USCG credentials as a future skipper aboard Southern Wonder. Guests can expect true Southern hospitality and a safe, fun day on the water.

Zan White
Zan was born and raised on James Island and grew up fishing and surfing on Folly Beach. He earned his Captain’s License in 2021 and loves creating epic experiences for guests with Charleston history, great stories, and a witty personality.

The yacht’s name is a tribute to Poe’s father, Rich Wonder, whose kindness, gracious spirit, peaceful energy, and love for adventure continue to inspire the Southern Wonder family.
